With his professional experience lasting for more than 27 years, Dr. Asim K Rana is a Chester County Based Psychiatrist who is focused on providing compassionate individualized psychiatric care to his clients. He is an expert in the diagnosis, treatment and management of a variety of psychiatric conditions.

He believes it is the process of self-exploration that heals and allows patients to break free from worries and destructive patterns that leave clients feeling hopeless and trapped. Dr. Asim utilizes a relational-dynamic approach which focuses on integrating past experiences with the here-and-now moments that patterns that leave clients feeling occur in the office.

Biography Details

Qualification

Dr. Asim K Rana attended medical school at Quaid-e-Azam Medical College in Bhawalpur, Pakistan. He completed his residency in adult psychiatry at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and followed that with a 1-year fellowship in child psychiatry at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.

Dr. Asim is currently a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine and a distinguished Fellow of American Psychiatric Association. He is also Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Drexel University College of Medicine. Since 2009, he’s been an attending physician at Tower Health’s Brandywine Hospital, Department of Psychiatry, while maintaining his private practice in Chester County, Pennsylvania since its establishment in 2011.

He has previously served as Chief of the Psychiatry Department at Delaware State Hospital overseeing the psychiatry residency training program. He was honored with Best Teacher Award by Delaware Psychiatric Center Residency Training Program for year 2010.

Continuously since 2010, Dr. Kasmani been nominated as Top Psychiatrists by Mainline Today Magazine and was a profiled psychiatrist in the Philadelphia region for the years 2011 and 2012 in that same magazine.
